Worst Insurance Company I Have Dealt With
I had my van rear-ended and it was deemed a write-off..the claims process to get a replacement cost was painfulthe agent never called me back to discuss my questionsI emailed a few times no replyI had to call him directlynever picked up or returned my call even after leaving my contact. The claim period took way too long as I have had co-workers who agreed with me. When it was time to talk to the claims adjuster to which they had assigned a new person and di not inform me. when it came to the cost..she agreed to hear my side but after giving my point of view she did not budge from their priceeven though I asked if they could increase it by even a dollarI of course asked for a few hundred more but not a single penny moreNot sure why she wanted to hear my sideas she waster my time and crushed my hopes of getting a reasonable priceI felt she was just patronizing me I remain polite throughout the conversation but I knew from that minute that I did not want to deal with this company. Uncaring and unreasonable. Ripped me off.
Types Of Car Insurance Coverage
There are several types of coverage. Understanding the differences between the kinds of coverages that are available can help you choose a policy that is right for you. The type of coverage you need depends on a variety of factors, including the state you live in, whether you own or lease the car, and the age of the car you drive.
Riding A Motorbike In Vietnam
Vietnam is a complicated case. Despite it being enormously popular for motorbike touring, Vietnam does not recognise foreign licenses. The British Foreign Office now says that UK IDPs are not accepted in Vietnam, and the Australian government says Australian-issued IDPs are not recognised in Vietnam. Vietnam requires you to get a Vietnamese license and a Vietnamese driving licence can only be issued to a foreign national in possession of a Vietnamese visa valid for 3 months or more. Ride at your own risk.
The Australian embassy in Hanoi says: Vietnamese driving licenses are mandatory for all drivers of motor vehicles as well as for riders of motorcycles with a capacity of over 50cc. Non-Vietnamese citizens are only permitted to drive in Vietnam if they hold a temporary Vietnamese drivers license. However, getting hold of a temporary license is not possible for short-term tourists as you need a visa that is for a stay of longer than three months in the country in order to apply for a local license. Our head hurts too.
Says one motorcycle rental website in Vietnam: Many travellers will not have a drivers license and are therefore driving illegally. This is fine within Vietnam as the police are a waste of time, they will not take a motorbike off a foreigner and without providing specifics the process is usually quick and easy to deal with. Driving illegally invalidates any insurance a traveler may have from back home. Drive at your own risk!

Will Motorcycle Travel Insurance Cover Injury
Motorcycle riding is not considered by most travel insurance providers to be an especially hazardous activity, no matter what your mom might say. If you have purchased a travel insurance package policy to cover your trip, it may include emergency medical coverage for any injuries you might suffer as a result of your motorcycle tour.
Also, you may want to consider looking at an emergency medical evacuation membership as it could give you the flexibility to get to a hospital of your choice if you are hospitalized more than 150 miles away from your home.
We know its unlikely that youll get hurt but isnt it nice to know that you can purchase a travel insurance plan that could cover you if you do?

Which Policy Do I Need
To minimize confusion, we have detailed the scope of motorcycling cover on our policies below :
Navigator Silver, Gold & Diamond.
Cover for On Road Motorcycle Touring is restricted to 31 consecutive days per trip, with the option to increase to 62 days at the Action Plus supplement. This applies to Annual Multi-Trip and Short Stay Single Trip versions of these policies. The Long Stay Single Trip version of the policy is restricted to 31 consecutive days, with no option to increase this limit.
Cover for Off Road Motorcycling is restricted to 7 consecutive days with the Action Plus supplement, at extra cost. Again, this only applies to Annual Multi Trip or Short Stay Single Trip policies and is not available on the Long Stay Single Trip version.
If you buy one of these Single Trip policies online, it is important that you start the cover on the date that you leave UK and end it on the date that you get home. If you just buy the policy for the few days in the middle of a trip when you are booked on a motorcycling tour, the policy will be completely INVALID. These are not top-up policies, they must cover the whole trip.
High Risk Voyager.
On Road Motorcycling is only covered for a maximum of 14 consecutive days per trip. This policy is primarily for people working overseas and is not really intended for touring holidays.

Dont Recommend This Company For Car Insurance
When i started my insurance they took a double payment, and my payments were supposed to be set for specific days which this company then changed the day right after i had the first payment, when i called to keep the payment day the same they tried to again charge me first and last for the next month. which had already been paid when the policy started. when they fixed it again finally and switched it back to my regualr payment onto the end. Now 2 months away from the policy end they charge me my current policy price with an added $194 for next term that doesnt start for 2 months.. i am beyond pissed with this company charging me for a policy that hasnt even started yet, not even giving me a chance to find a new insurance company because they also raised my insurance about $22 for having no tickets, or claims for the year.

Travel Insurance For Your Motorcycle Tour
If youre planning a motorcycle tour, whether in the continental U.S. or abroad, you may be chiefly concerned about three things: Cancellation of your trip injury and damage or loss of property. Travel insurance can address some, but not all of those concerns, and coverage for you will vary depending on your individual circumstances, the specifics of your trip, and the travel insurance plan and provider you ultimately choose. Also, keep in mind that, as with many other sports and activities, if youre engaged in a motorcycle activity as a professional or racing, travel insurance will most likely not be available for that portion of your trip.

How to get covered online:
Proper Licensing Is Essential When Traveling Abroad
Getting motorcycle coverage as part of your travel insurance plans isnt as simple as buying a policy and keeping it tucked in your travel papers. You must first have a motorcycle license that is valid in your home country. Your license must be valid for the type of bike you are riding. And lastly, you also have to have a motorcycle license which is valid in the countries you are visiting. Very often this takes the form of an International Drivers Permit, which you can easily receive at any AAA office.

Do Quad Bikes Count As Motorcycles
Quad bikes and all-terrain vehicles generally fall in the same category as motorcycles when it comes to travel insurance. As an example, a regular travel insurance policy may cover low-powered scooters but mopeds, motorcycles or quad bikes might only be covered by an adventure sports add-on.
Always check the PDS of an insurance policy for details on what you will and wont be covered for.
